This drink is awesome! Not too acidic, not too sugary with a little bit of salt on the rim…It’s the perfect cure for a gloomy Friday like today! You can also make it without alcohol and it will taste exactly the same.
Also, did you know that papaya seeds can be used to replace peppercorns? Check at the bottom of this post to learn how to do it!
For one drink:
- 1 cup of ice
- 1/2 cup of coconut water
- 1 cup of diced papaya* save the seeds!
- Juice of 2 limes
- 1/2 tsp of honey
- 2 oz of Tequila
- Salt & sugar (for the glass rim)
Throw everything in a blender and blitz away! Pour into a glass and decorate with a wedge of lime and some mint.
TRANSFORMING PAPAYA SEEDS INTO PEPPERCORNS
Preheat the oven at 250. Rinse the seeds in cold water, get rid of the big chunks of papaya and spread them evenly in a baking tray. Bake for about an hour or until completely dried. You can then crush them with a pestle and mortar!
